The Leibniz-LSB@TUM is one of the leading organizations for fundamental research in the broader field of molecular food and nutrition research.
We offer challenging research tasks and a high degree of personal responsibility and flexibility in cutting-edge research laboratories (food chemistry · biology · bioinformatics) and a modern administration. There are also various opportunities for exciting interdisciplinary collaborations within the institute, with cooperating partner institutions like the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and beyond.
In tight collaboration with the TUM, scientists of the institute are actively engaged in student education, postgraduate training, and the promotion of early-career scientists. The scientists profit from the well-equipped laboratories of the Leibniz-Institute as well as from the close and vivid relationship with the TUM.
The TUM Graduate School supports doctoral students at the Leibniz-LSB@TUM by offering excellent structured study programs.
The Leibniz-LSB@TUM financially supports and actively promotes the development of independent research group leaders.
The heads of the research sections are recruited by joint appointment with TUM using the TUM Faculty Tenure Track career system.
