Notes for postdocs

Training program for postdocs

The focus of the training program is on building a scientific profile enabling the long-term goal of an appointment to a professorship. This means acquiring independent third-party funding, publishing research in leading and high-ranking journals, and presenting results at international conferences. Annual development talks serve to set and help to meet the necessary goals and milestones for completing the desired habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements within a desired time frame of six years. The scientists are also actively involved in teaching students in close cooperation with TUM. In addition, they have access to funding programs for stays abroad, to the continuing education programs of the TUM Graduate School and to the funding programs of the Leibniz Association.
