Integrated Data Management

Research data are the products of our scientific work. They are the basis of all gains in knowledge. The volume and complexity of the obtained research data increase steadily. Therefore, quality assured management of research data is of prime importance. The core unit “Integrated Data Management” safeguards the professional management of all obtained scientific data at the Leibniz-LSB@TUM.

The data managers support the scientists of the institute in the planning phase and the execution of complex experimental studies, the collection, integration, documentation and storage of data, data extraction, integrative data evaluation, as well as the professional visualization of results. The tasks of the integrated data management group include gathering, storing, processing and implementation of data by means of data base systems and data analysis tools.

The department manages and administers the data records of the institute, processes them in part for analytical purposes and ensures the functional integrity of the institute’s entire IT infrastructure.
